Andy Dunn is he Dunn

Yesterday i read Brian Reade  and today Andy Dunn,in the Daily and Sunday  Mirror ,they certainly mirror each other ,Dunns heading for his column depth charge aimed at what he see's as Ferguson's lack of depth to his squad seems to be exactly what the Mirror has with sports columnist's.
Reade and Dunn i dont think are good enough to be back up for back ups let alone first choice columnist,s,in Dunn's main story he trys to back up his point by saying how Real Madrid,s second string beat Ajax  >>4 times European Champions<<  of course he forgets to mention the last one was 15 years ago,and the previous one was 22 years before that,so has nothing to do with football today,he didnt of course mention that Ajax are only 4th in the Dutch League 8 points behind the leaders, and Dutch teams havent been doing well in Europe.
He then goes on to say how good Barcelona's second string were beating  the those European giants BATE Borisov,a team who won 2 points in the group ,scoring 2 goals and conceding 14 and had nothing to play for and Barcelona were at home ,so half his main story realy amounts to nothing.
His claim is that Manchester United are so far behind Barcelona and Real Madrid, well on seeing Real Madrid getting beat 3-1  at home by Barcelona last night ,Barcelona are still way above everyone else, and it has been Manchester United who have been runners up to them twic in Europe  not Real Madrid .
Most people believe Barcelona are one of the best club side's the world has ever seen if not the world .so no disgrace in that.
Manchester United's squad is stronger now than it was last year ,they have lost Scholes and Neville ,and they were only bit part players last season, and they have signed Jones,Smalling,Young, and David de Gea,which is i make 2 players stronger, then you can add in Welbeck and Cleverley ,thaT makes it 4,so i would say that Ferguson has looked at the depth of his squad and strengthened ,so Dunns comments are starting to look silly.
I think anyone can see that Jones is going to be a fantsastic player,at right back ,midfield ,and thats him playing out of posistion,he looks like a leader a captain of club and country .
Dunn claims Fletcher,Valencia,Carrick, and Park have stagnated, well Fletcher has missed large parts of last season and this with a virus ,and Valencia was out for most of last season with a serious injury ,takes a player time to recover get confidence back  but has been showing signs he is coming back to his best ,so again his comments seem a bit silly ,although i have never been a fan of Park, but Carrick is a good squad player.
Dunn also says they should have made a blue chip signing ,maybe one like Chelsea made with Torres ,perhaps Dunn thinks that would be better than Hernandez ,Blue chip Torres £50 million or £Hernandez £7million?
It has been unfortunate that midfield players  Cleverley and Anderson have been out so long at the same time ,having Carrick suspended ,and also having full backs Fabio and Rafael out at the same time,as Smalling was possibly to blame for the 2nd goal against Basle ,
Every team has bad spells in a season Barcelona havent had the best starts dropping silly points in the Spanish League ,Chelsea had a terrible spell last season after looking like they were walking away with the League ,maybe Chelsea didnt have strength in depth in their squad ,and Uniteds saw them through,
Dunn also said United were no match for Man City ,well yes that was true ,but it was one game ,there is not much between them,
Manchester City have a few players ready to explode from time to time yes United have Rooney ,but he isnt disruptive to the squad behind the scenes,City i think have like papered over the cracks ,trouble ahead a few to many players with their own self importance ,things have been going well enough for them, going out of Europe not so bad because they satisfy themselves with being top of the League, but if the gap closes if someone goes in front of them we might just see the cracks open up the tempers flare and the title challenge collapse .
Everyone has opinions and are entitled to have theirs ,but someone writing a page in the Daily or Sunday Mirror slagging of someone who has seen it all done it all won it all ,and that these sports writers would be way way way out of their depth if they were in charge of a a Premier League team is beyond belief .

Brian Reade not worth reading ?

I read Brian Reade in the Daily Mirror today, and i have to say its shocking ,it seems like he reads minds ,maybe he should be a fortune teller,
He write ---(There was an arrogance about Alex Ferguson in Basel which was, even for him, unusually pronounced.
"It is another big game. But we have a strong squad and that squad will see us through without question," was his emphatic dismissal of a side which had previously drawn at Old Trafford.
Without question. A withering put-down which implied he does not get knocked out of Europe by Alpine pub teams. The comments, no doubt intended to boost his players' confidence, were picked up by his Swiss opponents and the pep-talk had been delivered. To the wrong dressing-room---)

The last part Reade decides Ferguson implied Basle was an Alpine pub team.yet i cant see anywhere Ferguson mentions Basle are an Alpine pub team ,Reade claims Fergusons comments inspired Basle ,excuse me while i laugh,Basle were playing for a place in the last 16 of the Champions League they didnt need anything to pep them up .
He claims Ferguson gave Basle a withering put down,I think most people believed Manchester United would go through ,thats why it was a shock that they were out ,thats why they were odds on with the bookmakers ,and he did say it was a big game which i think would imply a tough game ,and whether you are a manager or a player if you dont have confidence in your own ability you are beat before you start, confidence is not always arrogance,
I think Brian Reade should just write what people say not what he thinks they said ,or he might find himself in court, and there is no point asking a manager or anyone a question if you are going to write what he didnt say.
Later in his attack on United Reade  claims United had an easy game against Crystal Palace ,had the easiest Champions League group of all the big teams in Europe ,so i ask Brian Reade why shouldnt Ferguson have been confident of going through?
In another story he says Man City have nothing to fear but fear itself ,sound's like he is reading the stars maybe he wants to take David Wells job ,

Dalglish defends Suarez

Kenny Dalglish branded the chants of 'cheat' aimed at Luis Suarez during Liverpool's 1-0 defeat by Fulham on Monday night as "scandalous".

Suarez saw a wonderful second-half finish disallowed for offside and had a couple of penalty shouts in the Barclays Premier League clash at Craven Cottage rejected.
Fulham fans felt Suarez went down too easily at times and made their anger known, but Dalglish leapt to the Uruguay striker's defence.
Asked for his thoughts of the 'cheat' taunts directed at Suarez, Dalglish said: "Scandalous. I would like to see you write that in the paper because you would be in a bit of trouble as well. You write what you want to write.
"At the end of the day, we will look after Luis the best we can and I think it is about time he got a wee bit of protection from some people."

COMMENT-Suarez is been looked for a possible obscene gesture made during the game, and there is still the Evra racist case hanging over his head,so i think Dalglish should think of that before having ago at supporters chants.

Orient in the running for Olympic Stadium

Leyton Orient have applied for permission to move to the Olympic Stadium after the 2012 London Olympics, with the club's chairman Barry Hearn calling for West Ham to be ruled out of the running.

Hearn said last week that his club would be interested in becoming tenants at the Stratford site after the Olympic Park Legacy Company reopened the tender process to rent the stadium.
A deal with West Ham and Newham Council collapsed amid legal challenges, with the Government announcing last week that the stadium would remain in public ownership and be leased out.
Hearn believes the application to the Football League is significant, arguing that they would not sanction another member club - West Ham - moving closer to Orient's home if it affected their business.
Hearn told his club's official website: "We are asking for a 25,000-seat stadium and we want to see if we can get around the athletics track. It has to stay, we know that. But can we build up, if not down, and see if it's possible to get it covered while we play?
"If it isn't possible, it isn't - and we wouldn't move in with a running track between the pitch and the crowd.

Rangers fall out with BBC

Rangers have withdrawn co-operation with the BBC for the second time this season ahead of a documentary exploring Craig Whyte's takeover of the club.

The Clydesdale Bank Premier League club described the programme, which will be shown on Thursday evening, as "little more than a prejudiced muckraking exercise".
However, the BBC strongly rejected claims of bias against the club and insisted the content of the programme was accurate and in the public interest.
Rangers first withdrew co-operation following a national news report on sectarianism ahead of the opening weekend of the SPL season, before a BBC apology ended the impasse.
A statement on the club's official website read on Tuesday: "Rangers Football Club is withdrawing all co-operation with the BBC as of today.
"The decision has been taken due to the repeated difficulties the club has encountered with the BBC this season.

Its the hokey kokey cup Sion in out in out

Celtic will retain their place in the Europa League group stages even if Sion are reintegrated into
 the competition, according to UEFA.

Sion were expelled from the tournament on September 2 for fielding ineligible players in their play-off victory over the Hoops and lost an appeal against their expulsion later that month.
The club have since earned the backing of the Swiss civil courts in their fight to be reinstated.
UEFA are keen for the Court of Arbitration for Sport to have the final say but on Monday submitted documents to a court in the Vaud region of Switzerland, which previously ruled in favour of Sion, examining a number of possible outcomes if Sion succeed.

Hernandez back in training tomorrow

Javier Hernandez will be back in training tomorrow, according to the Manchester United striker's agent.
The Mexican was injured following a late challenge by Ashley Cole in Sunday's 3-1 defeat of Chelsea.
United boss Sir Alex Ferguson's immediate reaction was to rule Hernandez out for two weeks but there were fears the striker could be sidelined for much longer.
However, after sending the £7million buy for scans yesterday, his agent said Hernandez has suffered nothing worse than a "bump" and the player will be back in training after tonight's Carling Cup trip to Leeds

Uniteds New Generation

United the New Generation!

Old Trafford boss Alex Ferguson gave us a glimpse of the future at Wembley during Sunday's  Community Shield triumph over noisy neighbours Manchester City.
He threw on youngsters such as Tom Cleverley, Phil Jones and Danny Welbeck; and they responded with a blistering display of ferocious pace and audacious talent.
Fergie has patiently introduced more and more young talent into his United team — and the 69-year-old maestro could now name a new-generation side that would be the envy of most Premier League teams. Like the one featured above.
Incredibly, every player is 24 or under — so there's no room for stalwarts like Wayne Rooney, Rio Ferdinand or Nemanja Vidic.
And England winger Ashley Young doesn't get a look-in either — at the age of 26.
But with players like Nani — the star of Sunday's Wembley masterclass — and Javier Hernandez to choose from, who needs the veterans?
Add to them young stars such as Chris Smalling, David de Gea and the Da Silva twins and United can suddenly field a fearsome team of starlets right now.
England new boys Cleverley and Welbeck are likely to be offered new deals to go along with their more regular roles this season.
Cleverley, 21, is currently on around £15,000 a week at Old Trafford and is hoping to double his money at least with a new contract.
Welbeck — who was on loan with Sunderland last season — has been in talks since he returned from Wearside as his current deal expires in two years' time.
This is not the first time Ferguson has built a dynasty, with the Beckham, Scholes, Giggs, Neville and Butt era part of Old Trafford legend. And current 'old-stager' Patrice Evra, 30 years old, agrees the new brigade are something to behold.
After Sunday's incredible 3-2 Wembley triumph against City, he said: "They were very good, all the young players.
"In pre-season they were fantastic and it's been great to welcome them into the team.
"They have to prove themselves and show they deserve to play for Man United. They are doing that and I am very happy with them.
"To bring players through is what we do here. Players like Tom Cleverley are the future.
"In order to win the league the boss is not afraid to give the young players a chance.
"He knows they can help us to win more titles. That's the Man United way. It's always been like that. The boss never waits or thinks it's too dangerous. He knows the right time to play these young players."
